90 Years of the Great Hakodate Fire: March 21, 1934, the Day the City of Hakodate Burned"

The exhibition will display materials from the Hakodate Museum collection in the lobby to commemorate the 90th anniversary in 2024 of the Great Hakodate Fire, which occurred on March 21, 1934 and consumed most of the city area at the time. In addition to damaged items recovered from the ruins of the fire, such as earthenware, fire hoods worn by firefighters, postcards, research reports and posters produced after the fire, and materials related to the Hakodate Port Festival, which began the year after the fire, will be on display to introduce the history of Hakodate's efforts to recover from the Great Fire.

Groups of 10 or more people receive a group rate (2 discount).
Free admission for elementary and junior high school students residing in Hakodate or enrolled in a school in Hakodate.
Half price for Hakodate residents 65 years old and over.
Free admission for disabled persons residing in Hakodate.
Hakodate Cultural and Tourist Facilities Privilege Passport" issued by the Hakodate International Tourism & Convention Association will be applied to the group rate.
