The indigenous peoples of Hokkaido, Karafuto, and the Far East distributed various goods through a network known as the San Tan trade, and their trade routes are also called the "Silk Road of Northeast Asia. The trade route is also called the "Silk Road of Northeast Asia. Hakodate, where the Hakodate Museum of Natural History was established ahead of other areas in Japan, has accumulated one of the largest collections of materials related to indigenous peoples in Japan, and the "Ezo brocade" brought through this network is one of these materials.

This exhibition will display and present new findings obtained through scientific analysis using the latest technology in addition to the actual materials, and will introduce the real image of the "Silk Road in Northeast Asia".

Regarding admission fees:
Groups of 10 or more people are entitled to a group discount (2 yen per person).
Free admission for elementary and junior high school students residing in Hakodate or enrolled in a school in Hakodate.
Admission is ¥150 for Hakodate residents 65 years of age or older.
Free admission for disabled persons residing in Hakodate.
Group discounts are available for those with a "Hakodate Cultural and Tourist Facilities Privilege Passport" issued by the Hakodate International Tourism & Convention Association.
Group discounts are available for those with a ticket stub from the Hokkaido Hakodate Museum of Art in cooperation with Art Gallery Hokkaido.
Other discounts and exemptions are available.
