We will be holding an inspection report session for Kamikatsu Town, a town aiming for zero waste!
~We will also be holding a presentation on the zero-waste supermarket "Totoya"!~

Kamikatsu Town, a town of about 1,300 people in Tokushima Prefecture, is working on zero waste throughout the town. Zero waste activities are spreading throughout the town, including a garbage station where residents bring their own garbage and separate it into 45 categories, the promotion of composting to reduce food waste, a store similar to Shimokawa's Bakurikko and Purple Shokai called Kurukuru Shop, and Kurukuru Kobo, which creates and sells remade products. Furthermore, a virtuous cycle has been created in which young people from all over Japan and even overseas are attracted to Kamikatsu Town's environmentally friendly development and are staying or moving there.

In addition, Totoya, a supermarket with its main store in Kyoto that strives to produce as little waste as possible, is a store where you can shop for zero-waste products, not just dried goods, but also fresh produce. The store also supports the creation of zero-waste stores across the country.

This time, members from Shimokawa who visited Kamikatsu Town and Totoya Kyoto Main Store for an inspection and training session will hold a report session focusing on what can be applied in Shimokawa.
