When it comes to autumn leaves, Jozankei (Jozankei) is the place to go. Jozankei is located in a national park, and we have picked up five of the most spectacular areas for autumn foliage. This fall, buses will run to each of the five major foliage areas. Guided tour buses are also available, so those who come by car can take advantage of this service to fully enjoy the autumn foliage in season.
＜Five Major Autumn Foliage Areas
Jozankei Hot Spring Area: Autumn Foliage Kappa Bus
Toyohirakyo Dam: Toyohirakyo Dam Liner (to Electric Bus Terminal)
Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort: Momiji Gondola Liner (for Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort)
Oku-Jozankei Kamui no Mori: Oku-Jozankei Kamui no Mori free shuttle bus
Hachikenzan area: "Kappa Liner" operated by Jotetsu Bus (Hokuren Building Bus Stop #27 ⇔ Hachikenzan ⇔ Jozankei Onsen)
*Please note that the operation period and fares differ depending on the area.
Fee
・Kappa Bus: 700 yen per seat
Toyohirakyo Dam Liner: 800 yen per round-trip ticket *Free for preschool children
Momiji Gondola Liner: Round-trip ticket: Adults: 1,280 yen / Elementary school students: 640 yen
Oku-Jozankei Kamui no Mori free shuttle bus: Free
Kappa Liner: 600 yen *Fare for Hakkenzan ↔ Jozankei Onsen and Toyohirakyo Onsen (*Revised fare from October 1, 2024)
Reservations for buses to the Hakkenzan area (Kappaliner) must be made by 17:00 the day before (call the Jotetsu Bus Kawasai Office or visit the website).
