Hoshino Resort Tomamu, a nature wonder resort in Hokkaido, will hold "Spectacular View Fog and Ice Snowshoeing" from December 20, 2024 to March 31, 2025, an activity to enjoy the spectacular winter scenery and nature. This activity is a snowshoeing tour with a guide through an area with a vast panorama of white snow-covered landscapes. Enjoy snowshoeing in the powdery snow and warming up with hot soup after the activity, while admiring the magnificent view of Hokkaido's snow-covered mountains.

<Three features of snowshoeing with a spectacular view of fog and ice

Enjoy the spectacular view of silver snow from Mt.
At the beginning of the course, from the fog and ice terrace at an altitude of 1,088 meters, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the silvery white mountains on snowshoes. On a clear day, you can see the Hidaka Mountains and other snow-covered white panoramas, and on days with good weather conditions, you can also enjoy the view of fog and ice. Snowshoeing allows you to go to places where usually only skiers and snowboarders can go, and to areas where fog and ice have appeared.

■First-timers don't need to worry because they are accompanied by a guide.
In this activity, participants put on snowshoes and enjoy a great adventure in the silvery white world. The course will be decided according to the level of the participants and the snow condition of the mountain on that day. Guides will teach you how to wear snowshoes, how to walk, and even about the wild animals that live in the snowy mountains, so even first-timers can enjoy the activity at ease.

After enjoying the spectacular scenery, take a break with a bowl of warming soup.
After snowshoeing, enjoy a bowl of warming onion gratin soup at Kumo Cafe, an indoor café attached to the rime terrace. The onions are simmered thoroughly, giving it a mild texture and gentle consommé flavor. You can spend a moment to warm your body with the hot soup and take a breather while enjoying the view of the snow-covered mountains.
