The Hakodate Christmas Fantasy, a major winter event in Hakodate, will be held again this year! A huge Christmas tree will appear on the sea in front of the red brick warehouses. The giant tree is a gift from Halifax, Canada, Hakodate's sister city about 18,000 km away. The many lights decorating the tree will warmly illuminate the venue. The "Premium Red Tree," which turns the tree red for 15 minutes three times daily (18:30, 19:30, 20:30), is also worth seeing. Fireworks will be displayed every day when the illumination is turned on again around 18:00!
