Adventure Mountain is the world's only story-based family ski slope that encourages children's curiosity and spirit of challenge, and helps them improve their skiing naturally by completing 11 missions. The various items motivate children and make the skiing area feel like a role-playing game.
■Background
Adventure Mountain was established in 2008 as the world's only story-type family ski resort that stimulates children's curiosity and spirit of challenge, and offers them the joy of fun and progress. At this ski area, children become the heroes of the story and experience the fun of skiing and the joy of making progress while completing various missions. This winter, the final mission, "Special Stage," was renewed with the cooperation of Gouta Miura, a two-time Olympian and medical doctor who has represented Japan in the men's mogul freestyle skiing team. The final mission, "Special Stage," has been renewed with the help of Dr. Gota Miura, a medical doctor and two-time Olympic champion in freestyle skiing.
What is "Adventure Mountain," the world's only story-based family slope?
A special story unfolds in this run area where children play the leading role. The evil "Daimajin Chokkari" is planning to cut down trees in the forest to create a slope where it is easy to go straight down (Chokkari). In order to stop the ambitions of the Daimajin Chokkari, children participate in a story in which they help the forest fairy "Nipo" to protect the forest by completing 11 missions. Children naturally improve their skiing skills as they complete the various missions, while skiing enthusiastically as if they were in the game. Each time they complete each item, they get one letter of the spell to cast to defeat Chokkari Daimajin. The game is designed so that children will improve before they know it by performing the physical movements required for each item, allowing them to master speed, balance, and skiing maneuvers.
1 "Improve while having fun, before you know it" mechanism and visualization of explanations [NEW
Using the affordance theory (*3), 11 mission tricks are explained and visualized to help you improve before you know it while having fun. On the Tomamu official website, there is a special page for Adventure Mountain, which explains the tricks for improving each mission using the affordance theory. By understanding the tricks in advance, adults can watch their children's progress with a relaxed mind. For example, by challenging themselves with maze-like courses and undulations in the "Forest Maze," children can unconsciously hone their body movements, skiing maneuvers, speed, and sense of balance required for that environment in a comprehensive manner.
Feature 2: "Special Stage," the final mission that requires comprehensive skiing skills [NEW
The "Special Stage," which brings together elements of all Adventure Mountain items, has been renewed. A new challenge to Chokkari Daimajin begins. This special stage is a test of your skills to see if you can complete the final mission by utilizing the skiing skills you have cultivated in each mission. There are "Seesaw Bridge," which requires precise speed adjustment and a sense of balance, "Bell Bell," in which the skis are skied while ringing bells set on the tube rings, "Chokkari Wave Z," in which the skis are accelerated while moving up and down, and "Challenge Jump," which requires courage to jump over the jumps. Challenges in the special stages require not only skiing skills, but also a sense of adventure and a spirit of challenge. The final item is a special course filled with excitement and thrills that will test the overall strength of children who are worthy of defeating the Chokkari Daimajin.
