Lake Shikaribetsu Kotan is a phantom village that appears on a frozen lake. Kotan means "village" in Ainu language, and all the buildings in the Kotan are made of ice and snow from the crystal clear Lake Shikaribetsu. The "Ice Bar" where you can enjoy drinks in glasses made of ice, and the "Ice Open-air Bath" where even the changing rooms are made of snow and ice are things you can only experience here. Some couples even have real weddings in the romantic ice chapel.
