Miyajima Swamp, located on the west side of the city, is an important stopover site for many migratory birds including geese in spring and fall, but its area is shrinking year by year and the deterioration of water quality has become a major issue.
The purpose of this event is to review the various conservation activities that have been carried out in cooperation with local residents and related organizations, as well as to exchange opinions with many people about Miyajima Swamp and apply them to future conservation activities. In addition, the Shizen Sentai Magaranger will also present what they have learned at a reed workshop in Osaka in order to develop their current activities of reed paper making and reed utilization in the future.
