"Sapporo White Illumination" and "Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo" will be held from November 22 (Fri.), 2012 to add color to Sapporo in winter.
The Sapporo White Illumination is the first illumination in Japan, which started in 1981 and decorates Sapporo in winter. The Odori area will be illuminated with symbolic objets d'art of various sizes. The Ekimae-dori, Minami-ichijo-dori, and Kita-3-jo Hiroba (Akapura) venues will be decorated with light bulbs on standing trees, and the Sapporo Station South Exit Station Square will be decorated with sound and light.
