Approximately 2,000 light bulbs light up the 1.8 km perimeter of the inner moat of the Goryokaku Ruins, a popular Hakodate attraction and special historic site! The star shape of Goryokaku can be seen from the Goryokaku Tower Observation Deck (the tower is open until 6:00 p.m.). The illuminated "big star down on earth" seems to be filled with many dreams. Be sure to take a look at this special winter-only view. The 1.8-kilometer perimeter of the inner moat of the Goryokaku Ruins, a popular Hakodate landmark, is illuminated with approximately 2,000 light bulbs! You can look down on the star shape of Goryokaku from the Goryokaku Tower Observation Deck (the tower is open until 6:00 p.m.).
