Approximately 2,000 light bulbs light up the 1.8 km perimeter of the inner moat of the Goryokaku Ruins, a popular Hakodate attraction and special historic site! The star shape of Goryokaku can be seen from the Goryokaku Tower Observation Deck (the tower is open until 6:00 p.m.). The illuminated "big star down on earth" seems to be filled with many dreams. Be sure to take a look at this special winter-only view. The 1.8-kilometer perimeter of the inner moat of the Goryokaku Ruins, a popular Hakodate landmark, is illuminated with approximately 2,000 light bulbs!
