While you can enjoy the wonderful scenery throughout the year, the best time to visit is from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day, when the sun rises. If the weather permits, you can see the magnificent sunrise from the Pacific Ocean from the observatory on the cliff about 140 meters above sea level. The sunrise reflected on the Pacific Ocean turns the white chalk lighthouse vermillion, creating a vivid contrast that is truly a spectacular sight.
