"Shibare Festival" is the coldest festival in Japan, which has been held in Rikubetsu-cho, the coldest town in Japan, since 1982.
The "Human Cold Resistance Test," an immovable main event in which participants spend the night in a balloon mansion (an ice hut), will be held. *Pre-registration is required for the "Human Cold Resistance Test.
There will also be various attractions and stores that take advantage of the coldest weather in Japan in Rikubetsu-cho. Please come and participate in the "Shibare Festival" main event, the "Human Cold Proof Test," and experience the coldest weather in Japan. The Shibare Festival will be held over two days on the first Saturday and Sunday of February.
