The International Snow Sculpture Competition, which began in 1974 with the 25th edition, is a competition in which teams from countries, regions, and cities around the world compete to create snow sculptures. The snow sculptures, rich in international color and individuality, are created during the Snow Festival. This is the only popular event at the Odori site where visitors can see the snow sculptures being created up close.
