Overview

Jozankei's spring seasonal tradition, the "Keiryu Carp Streamers," will celebrate its 39th year in 2025. Around 400 carp streamers fly over the hot spring town in April, when snow can still be seen on the mountains, in early May when the cherry blossoms bloom in celebration of the Boys' Festival, and in mid-May when new greenery sprouts and the spring foliage begins to change color.

The carp streamers are made from unwanted items from homes in Hokkaido that are filled with precious memories. You can enjoy the spring with the colorful carp streamers swimming in the sky.
