Stone tools collected by individuals from the fields and mountains of Oketo Town and donated to the local museum in November last year are on display. You can see a variety of stone tools made from obsidian and shale.

Oketo is one of the major obsidian producing areas in Hokkaido, and people have been coming to Oketo since tens of thousands of years ago in search of raw materials for stone tools. As a result, a huge number of stone tools (stone tools) made by people at that time lie buried underground, and many of them are registered as ruins.
