Enjoy a leisurely movie night
This time, our special guest is Izumi Matsuno.
We'll invite you to a movie night!
As a film sound engineer and music director
Matsuno has participated in numerous works.
Some people have seen it somewhere
The world of film sound production.
How is film sound made?
How do you record?
Music in movies?
The worlds of film and sound are inseparable.
Matsuno-san had this to say:
About the film and its production
It is often said that
Opportunities to hear the words of people involved in music
I think it's surprisingly small.
Sound is like an accessory that accompanies the image.
There may be some aspects that are being captured.
However, about half of the movie
Personally, I think it's made of sound.
Cinema started with silent films,
Since the silent film era, movies have had sound.
I personally think that it was included.
The very fact that "sound arrived late"
I think that’s also very important.
Over 20 years of experience working with film and audio
Mr. Matsuno, who has a long history
What will he tell me?
What do we feel from this?
I can't contain my excitement about this unknown night...!

Matsuno's message on "Movie Night":
Nice to meet you, my name is Matsuno and I am involved in music and film activities in Kyoto.
Due to a series of coincidences, I have had the opportunity to take part in the film "Movie Night".
I'm an indoor person, except when I travel far away for photo shoots, and I don't get many opportunities to go outside, so this is actually my first time visiting Sapporo.
Originally, I was invited to a live performance and had only planned to go and sing, but as it was my first time in the area and I didn't know many people there, I selfishly said that I wanted to have the opportunity to connect with local people through film and music, and I was given this opportunity.
Basically, it will be in the form of a talk show, where I'll talk about the relationship between film and sound, and music, using video and sound, and maybe even getting a chance to touch some of the equipment.
I hope that the event will be enjoyable for people who are involved in or interested in film production, people who love watching movies, people who are not interested in movies but love music, and people who are not interested in either but feel like having a drink. I also hope that it will be an opportunity for participants to interact with each other.
