Overview

The rapeseed fields of Takikawa City, which boasts one of the largest cultivated areas in Japan, paint the Ebeotsu Hills yellow. A beautiful yellow carpet spreads out for a limited time only from mid-May to late May. Since the rapeseed cannot be grown continuously, you can enjoy a different view every year, and you can also enjoy various views depending on the fields scattered around.

On Saturdays and Sundays during the festival, a special area will be set up where visitors can enter the rapeseed fields, allowing them to see the flowers up close. At the main venue, Roadside Station Takikawa, a gourmet venue will be set up on Saturdays and Sundays, and a "Nanoka Bus" will be running that will take you back and forth between the rapeseed fields, as well as a "Nanoka Taxi" with a driver who will take you on a leisurely tour of the rapeseed fields in full bloom.

We also sell limited edition rapeseed sweets from a confectionery shop in Takikawa City. On weekdays, we set up a temporary tourist information center to handle the reception of "rapeseed taxis" and "bicycle rentals" and to provide information on the rapeseed fields. In addition, we also hold a photo contest and a survey where you can win Takikawa City's specialty products.

*Since rapeseed flowers are an agricultural product, we do not allow entry into the fields or unauthorized parking.
*Entry into the fields surrounding the rapeseed fields is strictly prohibited.
