The Doushin UHB Fireworks Festival is a popular summer event in Sapporo. Approximately 4,000 fireworks are launched from the Toyohira River riverbed, brightening up the night sky of Sapporo. It can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to the elderly, and has been a familiar sight for many decades as a sign of the end of Hokkaido's short summer.
