Akemi Nishimura creates copperplate prints with floral motifs based on the theme of continuity.
He says that he always thinks about how to create space by taking advantage of the diversity of prints.
The dynamically printed pieces of fresh flowers have an overwhelming presence and will brighten up any space.
"People have flowers in their hearts.
It could be something you cherish or life itself.
I am painting flowers, but I am not painting flowers.
I always create while asking myself Zen-like questions.
Just as there are differences among flowers that look the same
Subtle differences are expressed through multi-colour printing on a single plate.
The present day, time, and the present moment are printed on ruby red ranunculus.
