The picture book "Yama Oyaji" (written by Kikuchi Chiki, published by Seitosha) is based on the TV commercial featuring Sapporo Senshuan's Yama Oyaji, known for the catchphrase "Here it comes, here it comes, Yama Oyaji." This picture book was created out of a desire to pass on the Yama Oyaji commercial, beloved by Hokkaido natives, to as many people as possible for years to come. The Hokkaido-born picture book author, Kikuchi Chiki, has created illustrations of the animals' free-flowing movements and expressions. Other highlights include printing that expresses the sparkle of snow and the carefully designed binding that imitates the wrapping paper used for Yama Oyaji.

There are eight stamp spots in total: three Sapporo Municipal Subway stations, four bookstores in the city, and the Sapporo Senshuan Main Store. The first 500 people to collect all the stamps will receive a first-come, first-served novelty item (a special clear file of the picture book "Yamaoyaji") at the Sapporo Senshuan Main Store. There will also be a chance to win Sapporo Municipal Transportation Bureau merchandise, a set of Seitosha books, and more, through a lottery. At the stamp spots, you can also enjoy quizzes about the Sapporo Municipal Subway and Yamaoyaji. We recommend taking part in the stamp rally using a discount Sapporo Municipal Transportation ticket, such as a one-day pass.

<How to participate>
① Obtain a stamp sheet that will be distributed sequentially from Tuesday, November 25th at all 49 municipal subway stations, the four participating bookstores, and the Sapporo Senshuan main store.

② If you collect stamps from all 8 locations, the first 500 people to arrive at the Sapporo Senshuan main store, which is the first-come, first-served novelty exchange spot, will receive a special clear file of the picture book "Yamaoyaji."

3. Along with the stamp rally, you can also enjoy quizzes related to the picture book "Yamaoyaji," the City Transportation Bureau, and Sapporo Senshu-an, which are given at each stamp spot. The answers to the quizzes will be posted at the final stamp spot (Sapporo Senshu-an Main Store). *You do not need to answer the quiz to receive the first-come-first-served gift or to apply for the second chance gift.

④ Furthermore, collect stamps at all eight locations and have a check mark stamped on the double chance application postcard at the final stop, Sapporo Senshuan Main Store. Fill out the necessary information, affix a stamp, and apply for a double chance. 50 people will be entered into a lottery to win a set of Seitosha books, city transportation bureau merchandise, or sweets from Sapporo Senshuan Main Store. The double chance giveaway postmark must be dated Saturday, January 31, 2026.
