Nayoro is the number one producer of glutinous rice in Japan! We will be holding the "2026 Shine! Happy New Year Mochi-pounding Festival." We will celebrate the New Year by pounding mochi using Nayoro's glutinous rice.

■Drumming performance by Furen Goryo Taiko: To open the event, the Furen Goryo Taiko group will perform a powerful drumming performance.
■Mochi-pounding competition & provision of ozoni: Mochi-pounding After the mochi-pounding competition, 200 servings of ozoni will be provided free of charge.
*Numbered tickets will be distributed at the venue on the day.

■ "Fried Yuanxiao" provided by the Nayoro Japan-Taiwan Friendship Association: During the Taiwanese New Year, it is customary to eat "Yuanxiao" (dumplings) in a variety of ways. This time, we will be providing 200 servings of "Fried Yuanxiao" (dumplings) for free. Please enjoy and compare the New Year cultures of Japan and Taiwan!
