The beautiful Nishikigoi carp has been revered since ancient times as a symbol of good fortune. The powerful and dynamic white horse is also the zodiac animal for the new year. We hope that through the presence of carp and other animals, you can feel the energy and brilliance of life that is connected to the cycles of nature.

◎ Message from the Exhibition
The beautiful Nishikigoi carp has been revered as a symbol of good fortune since ancient times.

This exhibition will primarily feature works depicting carp, also known as "messengers of the gods," swimming gracefully and powerfully, as if dancing in celebration of the New Year.

The work is created using a mixed media technique, layering the transparency of resin and the vivid colors of pigments over a substantial oil painting of the motif, giving the work the vibrant energy of living organisms and the sparkle of light shining through water.

How our lives on earth are connected to the vastness of the universe and the cycles of nature. We hope you can sense this fundamental energy and the brilliance of life through the presence of carp and other animals.
