We are pleased to present "REDLIST III: The Birds," a solo exhibition by artist Mitsugu Aikawa, who depicts allegorical worlds using lines and shapes as elements of his work.
The title "Red List" refers to a list of wildlife species that are in danger of extinction. This exhibition, "RED LIST III: The Birds," will feature works depicting birds that are on the Red List and live in Hokkaido.
Mitsugu Aikawa
Born in 1976, currently living in Sapporo. Graduated from Hokkaido College of Art and Design. Began working in 2008. Responsible for the visuals of the Tobiu Art Festival, held annually in Tobiu, Shiraoi Town. In addition to his artistic activities, including solo exhibitions, the Silkio Project, geso portraito, Stopero Pinks, the spring-themed group exhibition "Haru Urara," and live painting at outdoor music festivals, he is also active in a wide range of fields, including creating murals for stores and commercial facilities, creating commissioned works, and illustrating book covers.
