We are holding the 2nd photo contest, following the popular reception of the previous one!

This time, we are looking for "photos featuring the building and people wearing kimono (yukata)."

The subjects are open, such as parents and children, friends, couples, etc. One person or a group is OK.

Professionals and amateurs, regardless of age, are welcome.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a product from our facility as a gift! We look forward to many visits and submissions!

Winners will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message.

■Application Period

April 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026 *The grand prize-winning work and others will be exhibited inside the facility.

*You will be ineligible for judging if we cannot contact you via DM, if you are not following our facility's account, or if your account is set to private (locked).

●Conditions

・Must be taken at the Former Nippon Yusen Kaisha Otaru Branch. (Interior, exterior)

・Must be an original work photographed by the applicant themself, for which they hold all copyrights.

・Participation is open to both professionals and amateurs. Up to 5 works per person.

*Submitted works may be displayed as part of our facility's special exhibition.

●Judging

・Judging will take place after the application period ends.

・The announcement will be made in early August 2026 on Instagram and our website.

・Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Facility Director's Award, General Museum Award, Judge's Special Award, Popular Vote Award

・After judging, the winning entries will be exhibited inside the facility from August 15 to August 31.

■Please be sure to check the following application terms and conditions before applying.

Applying for this campaign will be considered as your agreement to the application terms and conditions.

・In principle, all rights of the copyright for the submitted work shall belong to the photographer (the applicant).

・Submitted works will not be returned.

・The works will be used permanently for the following purposes.

①Exhibition at the Former Nippon Yusen Kaisha Otaru Branch

②Use in productions and on the website of the Former Nippon Yusen Kaisha Otaru Branch

・For works in which people are depicted, it is the applicant's responsibility to be sure to obtain the consent of the person themselves (the subject) before applying.

・If the subject is a minor, the consent of a person with parental authority is also required.

・For photography using drones, please comply with the laws and ordinances established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and each local government.

・Posts to Instagram Stories are not eligible for judging.

・Video submissions are not eligible for judging.

■The following are not eligible for application.

・Works that infringe on the portrait rights of a third party. In the event of any trouble, the organizers will not be held responsible in any way.

・Works that have already been submitted to other contests or photos that have already been published

・Works that are contrary to public order and morals.
