At the Sapporo Chrysanthemum Festival, with the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho) as the main venue, numerous chrysanthemums grown with great care will be exhibited, competing in the size and beauty of their flowers. A formal judging competition will be held, and the outstanding works will be awarded prizes such as the Minister's Award from various ministries and the Governor of Hokkaido Award.

At Aurora Square in Sapporo Underground Shopping Mall Aurora Town, a comprehensive chrysanthemum flower bed, the "Aurora Flower Bed," will be set up, made with chrysanthemums arranged in various styles such as dome chrysanthemums and spray chrysanthemums. Additionally, at the Hokuhoku Sapporo Building, a special exhibition of chrysanthemums and an exhibition of cultural works on the theme of "flowers" will be held.
