The Hokkaido Bureau of Environment supports the creation of famous waters and satoumi (community-managed marine and coastal ecosystems) through the collaboration of diverse entities in Hokkaido.
To learn from the wisdom of our ancestors who have worked on watershed conservation and to expand the circle of initiatives to create and conserve a good water environment, the Hokkaido Bureau of Environment will hold the 'Symposium for the Creation of a Good Water Environment: Learning from the Wisdom of Our Ancestors in Conserving Familiar Watersides - Passing on Life-Sustaining Water to Future Generations'.
