Lake Tangji
The largest lake in Kushiro Marsh National Park
With a circumference of 18 km and an area of 6.3 ㎢, it is the largest lake in Kushiro Marsh.
If you are lucky, you may be able to see the "gojinwatari," or "divine procession," in winter. Wakasagi fishing on the ice is very popular, and the colorful tents standing on the ice are a winter tradition.
The colorful tents on the ice are a popular winter attraction. In summer, the area becomes a starting point for canoe tours along the Kushiro River.
