This is the most popular of the observatories overlooking Lake Mashu, with over one million people stopping by each year.
From the observation deck, the view of the blue Lake Mashu, Kamuishu Island, and Kamuinupuri (Mt. Mashu) towering over the lake as if protecting it is spectacular. A large parking lot, restrooms, and a rest house are also available for visitors to take a break. It is also known for its beautiful starlit sky.
