Asahigaoka Park
Overview
This park offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view from the town of Memanbetsu in the town of Oku-cho to Lake Abashiri, Mt. Shari, and the Shiretoko mountain range. The view of the sunflower fields that bloom from summer to autumn is particularly exhilarating.
The Asahi area, with its beautiful hilly landscape, is also known as the location chosen for the movie "Dream" directed by the late Akira Kurosawa, a world-famous master filmmaker.
