Phlox Park
Overview
This park has about 150,000 phlox plants blooming in an area of about 10 hectares of hilly land in the Yobito district of Abashiri City.
In addition to the beautiful phlox flowers, there is an observation point from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Abashiri and the plains in the direction of Memanbetsu, making it possible to enjoy both the flowers and the view.
The flowers bloom gradually in late July, with mid-August being the best time to see the flowers, which can be viewed until early September.
