Kaitakai Memorial Park
There are various monuments in the park, including a "Leap Forward" in the center, which is modeled after the "Hiroshima 100" symbol, a "Wings of Exchange" made of A-bombed stone as a proof of exchange with Hiroshima City, and a monument "Hiroshima-mura kono Chi ni Hajimari" ("This is where Hiroshima began"), which was moved from the site of Ikujiro Wada's residence.
The Kitahiroshima Kaitakushi Kinen Park, built in 1984 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the city, is located across the Ebetsu-Ebiwa line from the Kitahiroshima City Hall.

The park is a bright and pleasant place with a lawn and a waterfront area that springs from a pioneer-era water source.
