SPOT
Manabe Garden
Open to the public since 1966, the 80,000m2 Manabe Garden is a stroll-style garden made up of three theme gardens. It is home to a collection of thousands of varieties of plants that have been collected from all over the world for over 60 years, and is also a showroom-like botanical garden where you can see how each plant grows.
There is also a cafe terrace where you can relax and enjoy the sights of wild birds and Hokkaido squirrels, and a garden center where you can purchase the latest horticultural varieties and rare plants. Enjoy the unique atmosphere described as "Is this really Japan?", "It's like you've wandered into a fairy tale land", and "Forest bathing in a forest of light blue trees" while forgetting the hustle and bustle of the city and your daily life.
