SPOT
Shihoro Onsen Plaza Midorikaze (Roadside Station Shihoro Onsen)
All bathtubs have luxurious, free-flowing mall hot springs, which have been selected as a Hokkaido Heritage Site. This can only be enjoyed in Shihoro, which has an abundance of hot spring water.
Soaking in the thickly textured hot spring water in the natural surroundings of the deep forests of Shimoibe will leave your skin moist and smooth, and is highly reputed. The bathhouse is well-equipped with a spacious large bath, jacuzzi, and sleeping baths. In the open-air baths made of rocks, visitors can bathe at night while gazing at the star-filled sky.
There is also a small bath equipped with a lift, so the handicapped and elderly can enjoy the baths without hesitation, proof that the hotel is loved by local residents and repeat visitors. The guest rooms, both Japanese and Western-style, are barrier-free and maisonette-type, making them feel like little hideaways, and adding to the enjoyment of the trip.
The Japanese-style kaiseki cuisine, which makes abundant use of local ingredients, is a true Tokachi "feast. You are sure to be satisfied both mentally and physically.
