Kamishihoro Aviation Park Campsite
Overview
This campsite is located about 2km from the city center, next to the Otofuke River. Within Aviation Park, there is a 36-hole park golf course (free of charge) and a spacious grassy area, so you are sure to have a great time.
There are bathing facilities in the city, so you can camp comfortably. This is a popular campsite that gets crowded during the Balloon Festival in early August and during the Obon period.
*This is a free site and there is no need to make a reservation in advance by phone for individual use. However, it is expected to be quite crowded on weekends from Friday to Sunday and during holidays.
*The campsite reception hut is usually unmanned. The manager visits each tent every evening to fill out the reception form and collect the usage fee. (During the Balloon Festival in August every year, the reception hut in the campsite is opened to handle reception and collect the fee.)
*Vehicles are not permitted to enter any area other than the parking lot. Pets are not permitted on the campsite (lawns or paths).
