Michi no Eki Kamishihoro, the 127th station in Hokkaido, opened in June 2020 and houses a restaurant using local ingredients, a take-out store, a bread store, and a sweets store.
There are also bicycle rentals, a dog run, a space for children to play, and a large lawn where visitors can experience hot-air balloon rides if conditions are suitable.
