When autumn comes, a part of Lake Notoro is covered with crimson-colored coral grass, showing us a different charm from autumn leaves.
At the Lake Notoro coral grass colony, a wooden boardwalk is installed, and it is possible to walk up to the middle of the coral grass spreading across the entire surface.
Annually, in mid-September when it colors most red, the "Lake Notoro Coral Grass Festival" is held.
