Maruyama, located on the north side of downtown Tadatari, is about 300 meters above sea level.
Legend has it that pirates hid treasure and gold sand at the end of the Edo period, and it is still a romantic spot shrouded in mystery.
At the top of the mountain, which takes about 5 minutes by car from the entrance, there is an observatory from which you can see the town and countryside of Tadatomo, the distant Hidaka mountains, and even the Pacific Ocean.
The magnificent view is truly Hokkaido itself. It is a space that will make you sigh uncontrollably.
