Michi-no-Eki Tadarui, the town's tourist center facing National Route 236, sells cream puffs and daifuku (rice cake filled with lily roots), a specialty of the town. Particularly popular is the "mountain wasabi soft-serve ice cream" made with local wasabi, which is sold only during the summer and has a unique tangy texture that is addictive.
