Meoto-yama Sacred Water, it begins with the fact that local people enshrined Fudōson in Shōwa 26 (1951) at the foot of Meoto-yama, where cold water constantly gushes out throughout the four seasons.
After that, they worshipped the sand of Shikoku 88 Sacred Places, and made it "Meoto-yama Sacred Water Mountain New 88 Sacred Places."
They had arranged stone Buddhas on the entire mountain and were making a pilgrimage, but, because the route has many steep slopes, it was a difficulty for elderly people, so, in Shōwa 56 (1981), they took them down from the mountain and gathered them.
The Sacred Water is famous as delicious water. The sight of many people drawing water into plastic tanks and taking it away never ceases. "When you make coffee or tea, it's different by even one flavor, even two flavors," "When you cook rice, it becomes very delicious," saying so, there are also many regulars.
