The site of the Hachisuka (Hachisuka) Farm office, which became the base of the development of this town, was developed as a recreation plaza. The site area is approximately 3ha.
A lawn plaza, an exercise plaza, and a memorial tree forest spread out as if surrounding the building at the farm office site. The park's symbol, the "Japanese Red Pine Avenue," was designated as a Hokkaido Development Memorial Protected Tree in June, Showa 50.
■ Historic Site Park and Japanese Red Pine Avenue
In Meiji 26, Mr. Hachisuka Mochiaki (Hachisuka Mochiaki), who at that time was passionate about the development of the Uryu wilderness, is said to have brought in red pine saplings growing wild in the Marquis family's ancestral temple, along with the necessary tools for establishing the farm, and planted them in the office pathway.
