「月形樺戸博物館」は昭和48年から「北海道行刑資料館」として一般公開されました。平成8年に現行の「月形樺戸博物館」となり、平成24年に展示を改修してリニューアルオープンしました。樺戸集治監の開監から廃監までの39年の歩みを豊富な歴史資料でドラマチックに展示再現しています。
