Roadside Station Shikabe Intermittent Spring Park and Footbath
Opened in 2016, the roadside station is a complex facility where visitors can enjoy the specialties of Shikabe Town, seafood and hot spring attractions. Since its opening, the roadside station has been visited by many people for leisure and sightseeing.
At the "Shikabe Food and Delicacies Museum," visitors can enjoy a wide selection of Shikabe's food and taste its rich and delicious specialties on the spot! There are also a variety of programs that allow visitors to experience the historical food culture. You can enjoy Shikabe's gourmet food in a relaxed atmosphere.
At the Intermittent Spring Park, you can enjoy a natural intermittent spring that is rare in Japan. The spouting height is about 15 meters! The temperature of the spouting water is 103 degrees Celsius! On November 1, 2018, Shikibe Intermittent Spring was recognized as a Hokkaido Heritage Site. Please come and see this breathtaking spectacle while relaxing in the footbath.
