SPOT
Hakodate Nanae Snow Park
Hakodate Nanae Snow Park boasts 4 km of slopes and a spectacular location with Komagatake towering above and Onuma and Konuma swamps at the foot of the mountain. 8 courses not only use compacted snow for maintenance, but also take advantage of the natural terrain to provide soft powder zones and bumps.
The "Challenge Course" for intermediate skiers is a beautiful course with white birch trees lining the sides of the course, the white of the snow, and the blue sky. Komagatake, capped with snow, rises in front of you, and the spectacular view of Onuma and Konuma swamps at the foot of Komagatake is unforgettably stunning. Free shuttle buses are available from Onuma Station and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station, approximately 40 minutes by JR from Hakodate. Schools are also available.
