This huge ski resort has three mountains: West Mountain, East Mountain, and Mount Isola. Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu is a ski resort where you can enjoy skiing while looking out at Mount Yotei, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains. 6. Hakodate Nanae Snow Park (Nanae Town)

This ski resort boasts a 4km long slope and magnificent views of Mount Komagatake, Lake Onuma, and Lake Konuma. There are eight courses, ranging from wide, gentle slopes for beginners to advanced courses that take advantage of the natural scenery. 7. IWANAI RESORT (Iwanai Town)

This ski resort is located on Mount Iwanai, at an elevation of 1,086m, at the westernmost tip of the Niseko mountain range. There are three slopes that beginners and intermediate skiers can safely ski on, and the panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the Shakotan Peninsula from near the summit is exceptional. At the hut, you can take a break from your fatigue and enjoy a variety of gourmet dishes, including classic ramen, curry, and hamburgers.

8. Karurusu Onsen Sanlaiva Ski Resort (Noboribetsu City)

This ski resort offers a wide variety of slopes that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. With a total of seven courses, it is popular not only with skiers but also with snowboarders. 9. Greenpia Onuma Ski Resort (Morimachi)

Located in Onuma, a 40-50 minute drive from Hakodate, this ski resort is a comprehensive leisure facility attached to a hotel. 10. Pirika Ski Resort (Imakane Town)

Pirika Ski Resort, which preserves its majestic and pristine natural surroundings, boasts the best snow quality in southern Hokkaido. Overlooking the Pirika Dam, there are five courses for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers, including courses that make the most of the terrain and groomed runs. 11. Asahigaoka Ski Resort (Kutchan Town)

This ski resort is perfect for beginners. It has two courses with a maximum slope of 30 degrees and a longest run of 560m, and both courses are equipped with lighting so you can ski safely at night. It is a popular place for skiers from both inside and outside the town as a place where you can enjoy a peaceful time.

14. Kaminokuni Town Ski Resort (Kaminokuni Town)

Located in the Yunodai district, a hot spring resort in the town, this ski resort can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. The Yunodai district is one of the town's heaviest snowfall areas, allowing you to ski down the powder snow. There is also a rope tower that allows beginners who are not used to getting on and off the lift to grab onto the rope and move around with their feet on the ground. This family ski resort has three courses with a maximum gradient of 29 degrees. The slopes offer an exhilarating feeling of skiing down towards the Shiriuchi River. The Schlepp lift used at Shiriuchi Town Ski Resort is rare even in Hokkaido, and it's worth visiting just to see it.

16. Hakodate Usujiri Ski Resort (Hakodate City)

This ski resort is popular among local residents as a place for sports and recreation.
