Kudoyama Mountain Climbing Path

Approximately 2.5 kilometers to the summit. If the weather is good, you can have a panoramic view of the Nayoro city area and fully enjoy Nayoro's magnificent nature.

Mt. Kudo (Kudosan) is a mountain with an elevation of 673.6 meters that can be viewed from within Nayoro City, and its name originates from the Ainu language "Kutunnupuri" (mountain with a rocky cliff). Also, it is also called by another name "Chinomishiri" (mountain that we worship), and its mountain shape, which has an asymmetrical mountain ridge and a rocky ridge at the summit, was an object of daily prayer for the indigenous Ainu people and an important presence as a landmark mountain during hunting.
Also, currently, as a mountain with Piyashiri Ski Resort, it is utilized by many citizens throughout the four seasons for winter sports and nature exploration that utilized the mountain trails.
From these matters, Mt. Kudo, for the purpose of planning protection by collectively calling the Ainu stories ・ traditions ・ places of prayer, and excellent groups of scenic spots adorned with words "Pirikanoka" (beautiful form), its summit was designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty.
