Shizukari Marsh
Shizukari Marsh is the southernmost high-altitude marsh on the plains, spreading out at the foot of Mt. The marsh is filled with water in various places, and lovely flowers such as iris and cotton grass grow in the marsh in early summer, beginning with Japanese rhododendrons in spring. Insectivorous mosses can also be seen here, making it a paradise for birds and plants. Nearby is a "wildflower garden" where wild flowers can be easily observed.
