■ Kurodake Ski Resort
Located at the top of the Kurodake Ropeway from Sounkyo Onsen town, Kurodake Ski Resort is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Daisetsu and high-quality snow.
The season is long, from early November to mid-May, meaning you can ski for more than half the year. Spring skiing is especially popular at the beginning of the season from November to December, and from March to Golden Week in May. Along with skiing, you can also enjoy the hot springs of Sounkyo.
