Enjoy skiing and snowboarding in Hokkaido in the spring weather. Surprisingly, you can enjoy winter sports at selected ski resorts in Hokkaido until around Golden Week. In this issue, we will introduce seven ski resorts where you can enjoy spring skiing.

SPOT 1 Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort (Niseko Town )

ニセコアンヌプリ国際スキー場

Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area is one of the four large ski areas "Niseko United" spread out at the foot of Mt. Located in an area of heavy snowfall, the abundant snowfall lasts throughout the season, ensuring consistent snow conditions. With a wide range of courses for both beginners and advanced skiers, this ski area can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

SPOT 2 Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu (俱知安町)

ニセコ東急 グラン・ヒラフ

This ski resort is also one of the Niseko United ski areas in Niseko Annupuri. Visitors can enjoy skiing and snowboarding with a spectacular view of Niseko's main peak, Mt.

Aya NISEKO, a hotel directly connected to the ski resort, provides guests with direct access to the ski slopes, so there is no need to stress about transportation before and after skiing. The hotel also has hot spring facilities, making your stay more comfortable than just skiing.

SPOT 3 Kiroro Snow World (Akaigawa Village)

キロロスノーワールド

Kirolo Snow World is only a 60-minute drive from Sapporo, and its 23 luxurious courses, the longest of which is 4,050 meters, represented by the 3300-meter-long gondola, are very attractive. The dynamic and expansive courses spread over two mountains, Asari and Nagamine, can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to professionals.

In addition, there are also varied natural terrain, deep powder spots, and five tree-run courses with a sense of exploration, providing challenging courses for advanced skiers as well.
*The tree run area can be dangerous, so please be sure to check the ski resort's warnings and staff's explanations before using the area.

SPOT 4 Daisetsuzan Sounkyo Kurodake Ski Resort (Kamikawa Town)

大雪山層雲峡黒岳スキー場

The course is so open that skiing out from the observatory, which is used as an observation deck in summer, feels as if you are flying up into the sky. The course is a gentle ridge with some steepness at the start, but the overall slope is relatively gentle. The course branches off halfway down the route into a lower route course, a forest course, and a snow cliff course, where you can enjoy comfortable skiing with beautiful views of the majestic Daisetsuzan Mountains.

SPOT 5 Nakayama-toge Ski Resort (Kimobetsu Town)

中山峠スキー場

Nakayama-Toge is located about 60 minutes by car from Sapporo at an altitude of 850 meters, yet it is easily accessible directly from the national highway. The course also has a "fun park" with bumps and jumps for intermediate and advanced skiers, and is recommended for those who want to enjoy exciting skiing.

SPOT 6 Furano Ski Resort (Furano City )

富良野スキー場

Located inland in Hokkaido, this ski resort offers exceptional snow quality even within Hokkaido. The "free lift ticket for children" (free for elementary school students and younger) is a great service for those with children.

The New Furano Prince Hotel is only 0 minutes away from the slopes. In addition to enjoying skiing right from the hotel, access to Furano city center is only about 10 minutes from the ski resort, so you can enjoy Furano sightseeing together after skiing.

SPOT 7 Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort (Sapporo City)

札幌国際スキー場

Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort is located in Minami Ward, Sapporo City, which is famous for its abundant snowfall, and is about 60 minutes by car from central Sapporo. It is a ski resort that can be easily accessed by tourists from the Tokyo metropolitan area, Osaka and Nagoya.

The attraction is the variety of courses. There are 7 courses in total, including a family course that is over 100 meters wide and a downhill course where advanced skiers can enjoy dynamic skiing. The maximum run distance is 3,600 meters, and the view from the summit of the 1100-meter-high mountain is highly recommended.
