SPOT
Goryokaku Tower stands adjacent to Goryokaku Park and is a landmark of Hakodate. At a height of 107 meters (lightning rod height), the entire star shape of Goryokaku can be seen from the second floor of the 90-meter observation deck. The view changes with the seasons: pink cherry blossoms in spring, green in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snow in winter. The 360-degree view of Mount Hakodate, the city center, the Tsugaru Straits, and Hakodate Bay is also stunning.
